"Pagkain ng Gulay Ugaliin, Araw-araw itong Ihain."
Don’t you just love to eat? Children have grown to the habit
of being engrossed in the world of indulged sweets that they seem to forget
that what they’re taking in is not always that nutritious. We can’t escape the
fact that we used to be kids running around with no hint of thought to what is
going around our little environment. Now that we do, reminiscing back to the
old days, don’t you think that it’s only fair to let our children be what they
are? To let them eat their luxury and to indulge themselves in their world of
chocolates and candies?
Amongst the odds today, the mere are getting sickly by the
minute wherein their bodies are lacking of ample energy to do their daily
tasks. Now, in celebration to this year’s Nutrition-Month, on the month of
July, individuals of every age are accounted for being involved in the
activities held in the very four walls of their school. Simply these activities will serve as a wakeup
call for those students sleeping in class with degrading nutritional status. Digging
deeper with this notion, as of today, seven out of ten young Filipino citizens
at the ages of four to seven have been proven to be overweight and are in dire
need of excessive exercise for a healthier and wealthier lifestyle.
One thing I can say to mommies out there, if your son or
daughter is indulged in the guilty pleasure of chocolates ad candies, make
vegetables a whole lot of fun. Make them snacks that says; “I’m yummy and I’m
also healthy!” so come one, come all! It is never too late to turn away from your
cravings. I’m not saying that you totally give up on your chocolates, but I’m
here stating that with these indulged sweets whole way through, life is too
short to live it shortly. Sweets may be that good, but life is better if you
live it the way it should be.
Expand your options. Make life a better living.
